Adelaide

Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle described the result as an “amazing feat that all Melburnians should be proud of”. He emphasized that there is no any other city in the world had received this honours for seven consecutive years in its own right.

“This accolade is an important selling point for Melbourne internationally: for business to invest or move here, for the best and brightest people to make Melbourne their home and for tourists to visit us. It is particularly important in attracting international students.” He said.

Besides, Adelaide was the next best Australian city finishing in the fifth spot, followed by Perth at number seven. Sydney was ranked 11th.
